Jessie Ennis (Better Call Saul) is continuing her education and has signed on to New Line Cinema’s upcoming college-set comedy Life Of The Party. While plot details are being kept under wraps for the pic described as in the vein of Rodney Dangerfield’s 1986 comedy Back To School, Ennis will play “a sorority sister with issues”. Starring Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Gillian Jacobs, Jacki Weaver, and Molly Gordon, Ben Falcone directs Life Of The Party from a script he co-wrote with McCarthy. McCarthy and Falcone are producing alongside Chris Henchy, with David Siegel executive producing. Set for release May 11, 2018, filming is set to begin next month in Atlanta.
Ennis, whose previous roles include Erin on Better Call Saul and Leigh Patterson on Veep, will be seen alongside Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler in New Line’s summer 2017 comedy The House. She was most recently seen in the comedy Slash, and is repped by UTA and Underground.
